BGSA at a Glance

Founded in 1988 and officially chartered in 1990, the Black Graduate Student Association at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GT BGSA) exists to provide an infrastructure of unity, support and academic guidance for the betterment of the black graduate student body and community. GT BGSA accomplishes this mission through a determined 12-member executive board, standing committees, a talented membership, and partnerships with organizations like yours.

Today, Georgia Tech is annually a top producer of black advanced degree graduates. Many of the over 300 black graduate students on campus are BGSA members, representing most of GT’s academic disciplines in doctoral and masters programs. Before these individuals move on to make contributions in organizations like yours, many are involved in the personal and professional development forums, community outreach, and cultural activities offered by GT BGSA.

We invite you to learn more about GT BGSA and the benefits of collaboration. Your involvement is critical to securing the financial foundation that allows us to achieve our goals. We look forward to discussing creative ways for your organization to get involved with GT BGSA and make a difference.
